i've had the idea to start a blog for some time, but frankly the "technology" was a bit daunting, so i kept procrastinating. . .but no more.
my first posting will be comprised of two entries i made recently in my personal journal, both political in nature.
the first entry was written october 24, 2006. Election Prediction: time to go out on a limb here, but not very far, with an early prediction concerning the upcoming mid-term election.
the republicans will NOT lose control of the house and senate. the loon-dogs in the democratic party and the media who have been rooting for republican, and american, defeat on all fronts political and military will find their "ideas" rejected at the ballot box. i just don't think we'll turn our national security policies over to people who apparently hope we lose so that they can grab power and "bring the troops home" (as if they actually care about the troops--something the loon-dog dems haven't done since the truman administration). so, count on it, the american people are smart enough to not buy into the negativity--the republicans will retain control of both the house and the senate.
second entry, written today, october 31, 2006. Hedging Their Bets:
we are now seeing, a week in advance of the mid-term election, the media loon-dogs doing stories about voting machines manufactured by republican-controlled companies which apparently will have a built-in bias in favor of republican candidates. this might possibly counteract the blatant bias of the media and as such might be a good idea, but i think it really means something very different.
for weeks all the media whizbangs have been predicting a democratic victory, but this latest fear story about rigged voting machines gives the lie to the predictions. why? if the dems don't take control of the house or the senate or both, as i predicted they will not, the groundwork has been laid for--here we go again--claiming that the evil republicans have "stolen" another election. i can almost hear the cris of "disenfranchisement" now, a week before the election. the howling has already begun because i'm not the only one who thinks the dems won't win.
